Ultra 5 is a premium Italian-crafted polishing powder that delivers a superior finish for calcite-based stones, including marble, travertine, onyx, and limestone.

It polishes quickly to a deep gloss and will not stain grout lines.

This is not your traditional 5X powder—Ultra 5 exceeds industry standards with its fine-grained formula for a faster, high-quality polish.

Directions for Use

Different stones may require different techniques. If unsure, contact us for guidance.

Preparation:

  • Hone the surface to the highest clarity possible before polishing.
  • Mask off and protect surrounding surfaces from splatters.

For Floors:

  1. Work in a 10–15 sq. ft. area.
  2. Sprinkle 1.5–2 oz. (3–4 tablespoons) of Ultra 5 powder in a circular pattern smaller than the floor machine’s diameter.
  3. Using a hog’s hair pad, place the floor machine (1.5 HP minimum, max 175 RPM) on top of the powder.
  4. Release water and spread the slurry evenly by swinging the machine back and forth. Keep the slurry thick, not too wet.
  5. Polish in a spiral motion for 2.5–4 minutes.
  6. Check results with a squeegee—the surface should have a high polish.
  7. Rinse with fresh water, vacuum the slurry, and clean with a neutral cleaner like MB-1 Floor Amore or MB-15 StoneGlow.
  8. Repeat for the next section.

For Countertops:

  1. Work in a 3–4 sq. ft. area.
  2. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of Ultra 5 powder on the surface.
  3. Spray water onto the powder and surrounding area.
  4. Set your variable-speed right-angle polisher to the lowest speed.
  5. Using a hog’s hair pad, move the machine slowly with steady pressure over the surface.
  6. After 2–3 minutes, check results.
  7. If polished, semi-flush the area and pull the slurry down to the next section. Repeat as needed.

Coverage

  • 125–200 sq. ft. per pound, depending on the stone type.

For best results, always test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
